Paleo Buffalo Chicken Deviled Eggs

I used to hate buffalo wing sauce. I did NOT understand why people liked it. Or buffalo wings. I like wings, like garlic wings and Asian wings, but not buffalo wings. Until recently. Something changed. My husband loves buffalo sauce and add it to almost anything. And I started trying it. I ate it more and more. And now I really like it. I still haven’t had buffalo wings, but I had leftover chicken from cooking a whole chicken (I do this weekly and make broth with the carcass). These eggs were SO good. Perfect for the upcoming spring and summer cookouts!

Paleo Pancit

I grew up eating Filipino food because I had Filipino neighbors and went to school with a bunch of Filipino kids. When they would come to school with pancit I’d always try to trade them for my ham sandwich, which never worked. When I went to a Filipino birthday party, you could find me close to the giant bowl of pancit refilling my plate. Because there was always a giant bowl of pancit and I love it. While pancit is traditionally made with rice noodles, I swapped them out for these noodles which are a great source of iodine. Coupled with all the veggies, this is a super healthy meal. You can also make a ton of it at once like I did to eat for lunch throughout the week.     Paleo Pancit While pancit is traditionally made with rice noodles, I swapped them out for these noodles which…

Paleo Seafood Stew

This is definitely a fertility meal. Because Scott and I are planning on getting knocked up in the not so distant future, I’ve been trying to create more nutrient-dense meals. Seafood is obviously one of the most nutritious foods. The mussels especially, they contain several B vitamins, namely B12. They’re also rich in selenium and zinc – not to mention that they’re a great and environmentally sound protein source. How I Healed Cervical Dysplasia Naturally

Find out how I healed my cervical dysplasia naturally after having been diagnosed with CIN 2 cells on my cervix – without LEEP procedure! Edited to add: I am happy to chat and discuss and offer sisterly support, but please do not email or comment asking for medical advice including supplements for you, what I did exactly, how I did it, what you should use, what you should do, etc. I am not a doctor. I am unable and unequipped to offer medical advice. The best advice I have is to see a qualified naturopathic or naturally minded doctor you trust. First off, what is cervical dysplasia? Let’s start with the cervix: The cervix is the lower part of the uterus that leads into the vagina. It’s the cervix that dilates during childbirth to allow the fetus to pass through. Cervical dysplasia is a condition in which healthy cells on…

An Unbiased Review of Usana

This Usana review covers all your questions: how effective are Usana products, do they work, and are they worth the money? Learn about the ingredients used in Usana products and find out about potential side effects. Before it’s asked, this is the protein I use and recommend. I couldn’t find one good enough on the market, so I made my own. Grass-fed collagen with six organic superfoods: kale, spirulina, wheatgrass, broccoli, spinach and turmeric. I drink it in my daily smoothies and it gives me LIFE. Aka a healthy gut, glowing skin, strong digestion and energy for DAYS. So, you asked me for an honest review of Usana products: At this point, I’m not sure why people even ask me to do an unbiased Usana review or any other products containing garbage ingredients like soy. I will never recommend  meal replacements, processed food, artificial sweeteners or any other junk that’s…

Gut Healing + Immune Boosting Chicken Soup

I love me some chicken soup, just not the kind you find pre-made in the grocery store. That isn’t real chicken broth and it has literally no medicinal value. It’s not going to help you get over a cold or boost your immune system. In fact, those chicken soups are usually full of sketchy ingredients like MSG, which does no favors to your immune system. This chicken soup is actually homemade. The broth is full of gut-healing collagen along with a ton of vitamins and minerals – the exact nutrients to boost the immune system. Making your own chicken broth is actually really easy, especially if you have a family. Simply buy a whole chicken (preferably organic) and roast it in the oven on 400 for about an hour to an hour and a half. Make sure to put butter under the skin and salt and pepper and maybe drizzle…

Paleo Tomato & Herb Quiche

I kind of hate making breakfast. For the most part, I’m not hungry when I wake up (around 7 or 8) and work until I actually feel the need to eat (around 10 or 11). By that time, I don’t want to actually make breakfast, I kind of just want it to appear in front of me. Which is why I like making quiches or egg casseroles. Making a quiche at the beginning of the week allows me to just pop a piece in the oven on the toast setting for three minutes and be good to go. It makes my life easier and I like that. Plus, Paleo Tomato and Herb Quiche This paleo tomato and herb quiche is loaded with nutrients from the herbs, greens, eggs and tomatoes. 1 batch of paleo pie crust (see notes)1/2 cup milk of choice6 eggs2 tomatoes (sliced)1/2 cup basil1/4 cup dill1/4 cup…

Paleo Greek Green Beans

There’s a Greek restaurant that Scott and I regularly go to. I would go all the time if he agreed to it. It’s so good. They have authentic Greek food and olive oil on the table that’s damn near green. There hasn’t been one thing on the menu I disliked and they serve Greek green beans with almost every entree. They aren’t like any green beans I’ve ever had before and they’re so, so good. Stewed, soft, dill-y and delicious. Ten Minute Greek Salad

Originally, Scott and I wanted to go to Greece for our honeymoon. But after weighing the pros and cons (read: the million hour flight to get there and both of us needing to get back to work) we decided to stay a bit more local to the US. Don’t get me wrong, our honeymoon was ridiculously amazing, but I’m hoping we can still get to Greece someday. The food, the people, the architecture, the beautiful beaches and especially all that delicious food, really draws me to Greece. I especially love that they have such amazing food that is still healthy. Fresh seafood and veggies, delicious local cheeses, amazing wines and everything is cooked in Greek olive oil. I can’t wait to get there someday. In the meantime, I’ll have to settle for making Greek recipes. I came across some real Greek feta, from Greece, with Greek writing on it and…
