But just because keto works well for some people, does not mean that carbs are unhealthy. Just like keto is not inherently unhealthy. What works for one person will not work for another. For me, as a woman in my fertile years who is active and works out and has a fairly stressful life – carbs are a…

Best Ever Breakfast Potatoes

Every Sunday, I make a big batch of these breakfast potatoes to eat throughout the week. They taste amazing and they’re super healthy. You could use a white potato (don’t believe the hype that they’re horrible for you) but I usually use a white sweet potato. I also use a green pepper and an onion so this these breakfast potatoes are packed with veggies. Alternatively, you could bake them. Which is actually easier, but you have to check on the periodically and give them a toss to make sure they’re browning/cooking evenly. If you’d prefer to bake this, bake on 400 for about 20-30 minutes, turning the veggies every ten minutes or so. Learn how eating a healthy anti-anxiety diet and cutting out these three foods entirely can help reduce anxiety naturally.  I’ve detailed my struggle with anxiety over the years on this blog. Despite living a healthy lifestyle, it’s still something I struggle with and still something that I need to heal. And I truly believe I will heal and release my body from anxiety. I go through long periods when I have no anxiety issues at all. But because anxiety has crept back into my life, I’m attacking in from all angles: dietary – adjusting my diet to further support brain and gut health (which are closely linked) seeing a therapist for EMDR, the number one trauma based therapy (it works!) seeing my naturopath to use herbs and homeopathic remedies to heal (here is a link to my favorite supplements to improve and alleviate anxiety) In this article, I want to focus…

What To Eat After A Peloton Workout

I’ve joined the cult of Peloton, okay?! And I LOVE IT! Don’t judge me. This is what to eat after a Peloton workout – from a nutritionist and health coach. Like so many people since the start of the pandemic, I bought a Peloton. I wanted to workout, I wanted my husband to workout, but I wasn’t comfortable going to gyms or yoga classes. You guys, a Peloton is surprisingly cheap. I also want to let everyone know that I didn’t shell out the few grand for a Peloton. I opted for a payment plan which makes the Peloton SO AFFORDABLE. I pay my Peloton off $50 a month with only an additional $100 in interest. That’s cheaper than a gym membership! It really, truly makes Peloton accessible to so many people. I really can’t recommend it enough. Anyway, I normally workout around 6am. Before my kids wake up. It’s…

Crockpot Beef & Veggie Greek Stew

This crockpot beef & veggie greek stew is so easy, delicious and healthy. It’s also keto, paleo and gluten-free! I like crockpot meals. They make my life easier. I can throw a bunch of stuff in a pot and take my kids to the park and come home a few hours later and BAM. Dinner is ready. Usually I “forget” a snack and my kids are so hungry they eat it. By forget I mean I don’t bring snacks so that I don’t have any when my kids ask for some. It’s okay for kids to get hungry. It’s good for their digestion and for the amount of food they eat, aprticularly as designated meal times. I’m not against snacks, but I AM against snacking all damn day, which seems to be the norm with kids these days. My son has breakfast at 8am, goes to school, has a snack…
