An Honest Review of Monat Collagen Key

After hearing about this “vegan collagen” supplement and doing a dramatic eye roll, I thought it was time I do an honest review of Monat Collagen Key. I found out about Monat’s Collagen Key in a local mom group on Facebook when one mom asked for collagen recommendations and another mom said, “Collagen is made from boiled up bones! EW! So gross. Dm me to try this vegan collagen that helped my hair grow eight inches in a year!” I didn’t know what she was talking about, but there are three things I know from that comment: This person is clearly disconnected from food, nature and how food is grown. Bones aren’t “ew, gross!” Let’s not talk like 12 year-old girls, especially surrounding a food that has been a staple of peoples’ diets for millions of years, and still is in many parts of the world. Just because something seems…

An Unbiased Review of All In by Teddi Mellencamp

After seeing some emerging details about this program, I’m totally horrified that women are investing thousands in such a dangerous program. So here is an unbiased review of All In by Teddi Mellencamp. Listen, I watch Housewives. Beverly Hills is not and has never been at the top of my list. Let’s be honest, they just can’t keep up with New York. Last night I got sucked into Emily Gellis Lande’s Instagram about All In by Teddi Mellencamp. I wasn’t familiar with the program and I was shocked to see so many women sharing horror stories. My shock turned to anger when I saw that Teddi is now promoting her program for postpartum mothers. As a mother myself, that anyone would promote this starvation diet to a woman in her most vulnerable time is sickening. For the record, I have some several unbiased reviews on various programs, meal replacements and…

An Unbiased Review of Young Living Essential Oils

An unbiased review of Young Living: Many people consider Young Living oils the best essential oils in the industry. But is Young Living a legitimate company? Are their essential oils organically sourced, safe and worth the price? After my review of doTERRA, ya’ll inevitably requested an unbiased review of Young Living. Much like doTERRA, I like Young Living. I don’t love Young Living. I use Young Living (and doTERRA, but mostly Plant Therapy). Upon starting research for this article, it quickly became apparent that there is a lot of drama surrounding Young Living. Much more than doTERRA. While I have used doTERRA more and am more familiar with their products, I have a lot of friends in Young Living and I’ve bought from them multiple times. I’ve used Young Living Essential Oils but mostly used supplements and things that contain oils that doTERRA doesn’t offer, like Nigxia Red. I didn’t do a ton of…

An Unbiased Review of doTERRA

I have done several reviews on various companies, mostly meal replacement shakes. You can check out all of my reviews here, they include Beautycounter, Rodan + Fields, Beyond Meat and Arbonne. But over the last year I’ve received an incredible amount of requests to review essential oil companies. Which leads to my (mostly) unbiased review of doTERRA. My Back Story With doTERRA When doTERRA and Young Living came on the scene several years ago, I ignored it at first. I liked essential oils, but turning them into a business? That wasn’t for me. I had blogging and health coaching and programs. I wasn’t interested in selling essential oils. And then I kept seeing the stories. The “I made $100k this month from my oil business!” stories. And I got intrigued. Month after month I was seeing more and more about women making gobs of money from oils. So I set…

An Unbiased Review of Flat Tummy Tea

I’m at expert at reviewing ingredient in popular products – from skincare to meal replacement shakes. Check out all of my reviews here. And here is An Unbiased Review of Flat Tummy Tea. You all know I’m no fan of meal replacement shakes. Because of that, you could say that this review couldn’t be truly unbiased. And you are probably right. But I try to keep it professional and only review the ingredients. I haven’t personally tried Flat Tummy products, but I also haven’t tried crack. That just ain’t for me. Neither are something that as a health professional, I would ever put into my body. So if you’re simply looking for a review of whether or not the products work, please read on. They may work, but they may work because you’re literally taking a laxative. The main ingredient in this tea is senna, something given to many patients…

An Unbiased Review of Beautycounter

Is Beautycounter safe and cruelty-free? What sets its apart from Rodan and Fields and which products are the best? Find out in this Unbiased Beautycounter Review. Find all your questions answered in this honest Beautycounter Review: Whenever I do reviews, I’m inevitably accused of selling a competing product. This Beautycounter review is the only review I’ve done (thus far) in which I sell the actual product. Let me assure you, I’m brutally honest. Just in general, but I also intend to be brutally honest in this beautycounter review. This will absolutely be an unbiased review of Beautycounter, both the ingredients and the products I’ve tried (spoiler alert: I hate some of them!). Is Beautycounter safe?  Let’s get this out of the way: Beautycounter’s products are not organic, they are not the cleanest or safest or most non-toxic on the market. This is a simple fact. But they are safer than…

An Ubiased Review of Monat

After my review of Rodan + Fields last month, I polled my readers and asked which company they would like me to review next. Monat won by a landslide. To be quite honest, I had never even heard of Monat. I had no idea what the company was or what they sold. This truly has allowed me to write an unbiased review of Monat. I actually had to figure out what Monat sold. Was it replacement shakes, like most of my reviews? Was it skincare? Neither – it’s haircare. I read about the company’s history and their culture and I like that they’re a family owned business. I don’t like that I’ve emailed the company numerous times asking for clarification of ingredients and have received no response. My immediate concerns were seeing fragrance on the ingredient list numerous times, as well as ingredients made with polyethylene glycol (PEGs). I also…

An Unbiased Review of Rodan + Fields

I originally wrote An Unbiased Review of Rodan + Fields back in 2018. At that time, the company was using incredibly toxic ingredients with established studies proving links to cancer, hormone disruption, skin irritation and so much more. Read on to find out if Rodan + Fields is still using those products in 2022. Four years ago when I wrote this original review, or exposé if you will, people were MAD. People said I was a liar, people said I was an idiot, people said I was a “dumb bitch.” Listen, you can call me a lot of things. Nosey, inappropriate, over the top – all of that might be true (okay it definitely is true). But there are certain things I am not, those include: a liar, poorly researched, a dumb bitch (although there is an argument that just “bitch” could be an adjective used to describe me). The…

An Unbiased Review of Le-Vel Thrive

Read this honest Le-vel Thrive Review by a holistic nutritionist before you invest in weight loss patches, capsules and shakes! Before it’s asked, this is the protein I use and recommend. I couldn’t find one good enough on the market, so I made my own. Grass-fed collagen with six organic superfoods: kale, spirulina, wheatgrass, broccoli, spinach and turmeric. I drink it in my daily smoothies and it gives me LIFE. Aka a healthy gut, glowing skin, strong digestion and energy for DAYS. Use code 10OFF for 10% off! What is Le-Vel Thrive? Out of all the review requests I’ve received recently, Le-Vel Thrive has been at the top of the list. I get more requests to review this company than any other, and I can see why. They’re exploding. The company started in 2012 and has made a billion dollars in the past five years. That’s pretty impressive. But I…

An Unbiased Review of It Works

I’ve done several reviews on my website for various companies, whether they’re MLM, protein products, meal replacements, whatever. You can find those reviews here (they include Isagenix, Plexus, Herbalife, Juice Plus, Advocare, Arbonne and a few others). Here is my unbiased review of It Works. A few days ago on my Facebook page I did a poll on which company I should review next. Lucky (actually, unlucky) for It Works, they were the overwhelming vote. I do these reviews because people deserve to know what’s in these products. Most people aren’t able to look at an ingredient label and know whether or not the massive amount of ingredients are safe, healthy or toxic. That’s where I come in. I don’t do these reviews because I’m paid to do them (I get accused of this a lot – who would even pay me? I work for myself!). I don’t do them…
