This week the fam and I are headed to Los Angeles! It’s actually a work trip but I’m still super excited. I love LA and it’s super easy to get celiac friendly food there. I figured it would be good to share this meal plan so you can see how we eat on vacation and during travel days. Because mama ain’t about to eat airplane food.

First things first.

Prepare.

Prepare.

Prepare.

I’m going to make eggs muffins and sandwiches the night before. That way we can get the car packed the next morning, have breakfast on the way to the airport and have lunch on the plane.

For plane snacks, I also bring Epic bars, bananas, these nut butter packs, coconut oil chips and pouches for the toddler (baby isn’t eating solids yet).

When we get there, I’m going to head to Erewhon market, which is legitimately the best grocery store in the world.

Erewhon has every gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free, delicious, amazing, local, healthy food in the world.

One of my favorite parts of Erewhon is their hot bar. They have this freaking amazing hot bar full of delicious food. They’ve got gluten-free lasagna, gluten-free mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, roasted chicken, roasted salmon, steak, all types of salads and roasted veggies, rice, etc.

They’ve got delicious healthy sushi, pizza, soups, pastas, bread – EVERYTHING.

IT’S THE BEST.

Scott makes fun of me and says the only reason I want to go to LA is to shop at Erewhon, and it’s kind of true.

So instead of doing an intense grocery haul while we’re out in LA, I plan on getting a bunch of pre-made food. We’re staying in an Airbnb, but I don’t want to be cooking all week. I wanna treat myself.

Not to mention I’ll be alone with the babes the whole week while Scott is in the office, so I’m going to need to get food on the table fast. Erewhon to the rescue.

I also thought it would be fun to share which restaurants we’re gonna go to. We planned on going to Nobu in Malibu but we could only get a 9pm reservation (12am our time) so that was a hard pass.

We’re going to some local restaurants in the part of LA we’re staying and meeting with friends throughout the trip as well.

Basically, I plan to eat my way through LA and Erewhon and spend time in that amazing weather with my kids. I’m so excited!
