When I first started blogging, I wished there was someone or something to outline all of the profitable revenue streams and ways to monetize my website. I had literally no idea and had to figure it all out on my own from the beginning.

When I began I knew that once I was certified I would start health coaching. I didn’t think about the fact that not everyone wants a health coach. Not everyone is interested in one on one coaching. Not every month would there be clients knocking down my door. Let me tell you: no one gives a shit about health coaching in December. Holiday parties, shopping and bulky clothes don’t exactly scream “I should hire a health coach!”

I had to learn that the hard way. Anyone who wants to make money off of their website needs to diversify their revenue streams. You can’t expect to have one or two ways to monetize. For most people, that’s not realistic. And what if one of those ways falls through? You don’t want to be left with half your monthly income and wondering what the hell to do.

So here are the different ways I make money. Hopefully they can help you too.

Way #1 – Essential Oils

This is one of the biggest ways I make money and the way I will make the most money consistently over time. I promote and sell essential oils and supplements because I truly believe in the products and even use them myself.

When I started blogging, this was the exact type of thing I was looking to promote. Had I began with essential oils two years ago when I started Ancestral Nutrition, I’d probably be making six figures by now just from my oil business. I’m not quite there yet, but I’m confident that I will be.

You don’t even need to be a health coach to sell essential oils because there’s so much great training. Hell, you don’t even have to have a website. Success with essential oils works by referring people – friends, family, even strangers to the oils. Whenever someone purchases through your website or uses your ID – you get a percentage of those sales. The more people you refer, the more money you make.

Actually, I’m looking for people who want to build their own business with essential oils to join my team. I have people that love the products signing up, but not many people who want to build a business. I place people under my builders who want to grow, which immediately grows their business and helps them make money. With so many people turning to natural remedies instead of toxic prescriptions, now is the perfect time to join.

Way #2 – Coaching and coaching programs

Obviously I sell health coaching programs. One is a basic three week program, one is for weight loss and one is an intensive acne program. Over time, I want to have programs for several different ailments: depression, anxiety, autoimmune issues, yeast infections, head aches, etc.

Way #3 – Amazon Affiliate

I am an affiliate for Amazon. So when I recommend a product and link to it, I automatically receive a small percentage of whatever is purchased within 24 hours through my link. When I began, I didn’t even know I could do this. I would say, “Oh, you need a fish oil.” And someone would ask what kind and I’d recommend Green Pastures. I had no idea I could link to Green Pastures and receive part of that sale.

So when I did begin with Amazon, I made very, very little money. As I’ve grown, I make at least $700 a month from Amazon alone. This will grow as I grow. I know several bloggers that make way more from Amazon.

Way #4 – Google Adsense

These are the ads you see on my website. You can place them anywhere on a website. The more you have and the more visible they are, the more money you make.

Way #5 – Kindle Book (this isn’t out yet but will be out soon and will bring more revenue)

I recently wrote a Kindle book that I will be publishing next week. It’s all about how to eat like your ancestors for clear skin, beautiful hair and radiant health. Because I grew up without a lot of money and because I know some people genuinely cannot afford to spend more than $5 on things, I’m pricing the book at $4.99 so everyone will be able to afford it. It’s not as in depth as one of my programs, but for someone starting out and unsure of what to eat, it’s a great place to start.

I’m hoping it will reach a ton of people because I’m pricing it so low.

Way #5 – Affiliates

I’m an affiliate for a few other books and programs. This actually brings me the least amount of revenue, but it’s a revenue stream none the less. For example, if you wanted to start your own website and build your revenue streams, becoming an affiliate is a great option. Especially if you’re not a health coach. You could even become an affiliate for my programs and make 50% (just email me at [email protected]).

If you don’t create your own programs or workshops, this is definitely something I recommend. I’m not an affiliate for other programs which is why I don’t make a lot of money this way, but it’s a great option for someone who is not a health coach but would still like to sell programs on their website.
