Basics

I’ve started Ancestral Nutrition as both a place to learn and discuss nutrition and overall well being as well as a place to dispute and dispel popular nutrition myths. Because diets are bullshit. I believe in eating whole, unprocessed, nutrient-dense, traditional foods. You will not find low-fat recipes here, because fat is good for you. You will not find soy recipes here, because soy is bad for you (and gross). Additionally, you won’t find gluten, most grains, vegetable oils or sugar.  You will find grass-fed meat and dairy, wild seafood, good fats and a lot of vegetables. You will find out how to enjoy food, because food is delicious, and fun. You will find natural remedies, challenges to conventional wisdom and articles on overall wellness.

At Ancestral Nutrition you will learn that you can easily lose weight without a diet, by eating whole, unprocessed and traditional foods. You will learn that restricting and counting calories is ridiculous. You will learn that buying organic matters, and that GMOs are dangerous. And hopefully, you will be inspired to live your life to the fullest, to have some fun, and to take of yourself and those around you. You can have the best life and be the best version of yourself. And it’s starts with what you put in your mouth.

I am so looking forward to eating clean. Hopefully I can do it on a budget…=0)

  2. I had a question on soy. Is all Soy bad for you. I have heard that not all soy is. And there are many myths about the estrogen effects cause they are so minimal. Just trying to sort out the facts, thanks!

Natto, a fermented soy is good for you. Fermenting reduces the phytic acid and renders it less toxic.

The effects of estrogen are not myths. Estrogen dominance is very serious and is something everbody deals with because of pollution, use of plastics, chemicals, soy, etc.
