This Paleo Buttercream Frosting is so easy to make and tastes just like traditional buttercream! Use for making paleo cakes and cupcakes!

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 cup organic shortening found HERE
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup or raw honey I personally prefer maple syrup because I don't love the taste of raw honey, but you can use whichever
  • 1/2 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 stick of butter softened
  • 4 tbsp tapioca flour

Instructions
 

  • Put everything into a bowl and mix with a hand mixer until there are no lumps.

Notes

I prefer to use maple syrup in this recipe because I like the taste better, but you can use raw honey as well. The added benefit of raw honey is that it is super beneficial, has enzymes, boosts immune system, has some antibacterial property and can even improve allergies.
